Psalm 119:17-24 (Friday 7/3) Meditation

17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.
21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

Psalms 119: 17-24

The Lord is saying that His people (Israel) and the people of this world to day need to pray. It was God's bounty that gave us life. "He sent His only begotten Son into this world, not to condemn the world but the world through Him might be saved."
David saying Lord, give me favor! According to God's grace & mercy, we have a choice, to spend our lives through Jesus Christ to serve Him or serve the world, because the Bible says in (Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.")

There are wondrous things in God's law, and it is being revealed in these last and evil days, even unto babes in Christ. Some of us are blind to God's law (teachings, commandments) but we are under Grace, but still some of us are so blind to the fact that we cannot see what is going on in this world. That is why we need to ask God in faith to open up our eyes to His wisdom, knowledge and understandings of His word. And when He does, the more things of God that He lets us see in His word, which we didn't see before.

Our home is heaven; we are aliens! The world (earth) just occupies us until God sends His Son Jesus back to claim what is His (His people who fears Him, loves Him, Obey Him, loving others, and is living Holy for He is Holy) The psalmist is saying, I am only human, don't hide your commandments from me O Lord. Let me see your glory! But we must give in account for what we do here, here in this earth; But here, David makes his request known unto God; Lord show me thy commandments, I'm just a stranger down on this earth and I need your guidance, your order, your companionship, your comfort. We should be saying, Jesus you said in your own words, that you will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord don't leave me down here all alone without guidance or sense of direction, I need you Father God in Jesus name.

God is opening my eyes here in this verse [20]. We should yearn for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, grace & mercy. David here is hungry and thirsty after the word of God; he wants God to feed him strong meat. David realizes that the Word of God is powerful. We should have an intense desire for God's word just like the psalmist. He also realizes that God word is life and is speaking to Him just like it speaks to us.

God will rebuke the proud (the wicked people, their mind is corrupt with filth of this world, they magnify, glorify themselves above others). Their will is not lined up with the will of God. People are just like the evil pharaoh, when Moses warned him; he was questioning Moses who is this God. Moses returned an answer with, "I am that I am". The Bible tells us that 'God resists the proud’ and shows Himself strong and mighty. Jesus says Himself,
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore, and repent." (Revelation 3:19)

We got to say, Father in Jesus name, I have repented, so Father, you said that you would "rebuke my devourer for my sake, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground." David was pleading for his innocence. He was asking God to spare him shame and humiliation, for he observes his rules, laws and commandments. Sometimes we get despised and abused for our strictness. Jesus tells us that we are going to be rejected, abused and persecuted all because of His name sake.

There will be a time when people will get together to plot up something’s against us, and even slander our name. Even though people are in high or low places talking about us, sitting in counsel, sitting in judgment and speak evil against us. God's statues are our counselor. He is our Rock, our Protector.

God's word gives us guidance. And yes! we should always delight ourselves in His word. His word teaches us to live in a Godly manner and continue to let our light shine amongst those who are still in darkness, so His marvelous light can draw them in.

How Great is Our Father God, He is awesome!

have mercy lord and deal kindly with me your sevrant, now that i have giving you all of me. Opened my understanding to what it is that you would have me to do acrroding to living right. Lord open my eyes more so that i can uphold, and walk into the wondrous things that are hidden between the words of your sayings. give me a deeper understand of your words lord, for i need it to keep me. I am a stranger in this world now that i have become new, I do not understand now of this world, I need to understand of the world of which i was birth into as a new being. Reprove and keep me lord because i try with my whole heart to keep your statutes, rebuke me lord when i err in anyway. Remove from me wickeness and hate from my soul and instore in me your ways, and understanding so that i can understand what you need me to understand. To your Glory Lord, so that i can go in the world and lift up your Holy name. all thought the enemey has tried his tricks of sorrow, disbelife and hardship and lies aganist me lord i learn the power to pray and that i did and it seen me through. your words lord has guided me and keep me taught me what to do in times of trouble, caused me to be witness that the word is my counselor.
this is my prayer to the lord in regrades to what david prayed for, when i read these verses it causes me to go into prayer.
What i got from this is the Lord is teaching us the power of prayer and letting us know that the word of God is the conuselor of our life, its the counselor that teach us to pray truthful unto the Lord, to make our request know unto him.

In Psalms 119 vs 17-24, the Lord is that if he does good to me then I will live; not necessarily in my human form but spiritually. God please open my eyes so that I can understand what you word is saying to me.

When it comes to living in this world I am a stranger, but I am no stranger to you Lord. Allow me to understand your commands oh Lord and do not hide them from me for I am your worthy servant. He is telling me that my soul should constantly hunger for the laws that he set in motion for me.

The Lord always rebukes those who are arrogant and stray from his commands, but dear God take away all the the things that keep me from following your laws.

There are those who may slander my name oh Lord, but I will continue to serve you and meditate on your commandments. The laws that you set for me I will relish in for they are the things that keep me on the straight and narrow path to you my Lord.
